It was a cold and windy day…

November 27, 2011

We didn’t want to be inside.

But it was too cold to be outside for long.

What to do on such a day on a tight budget?

Pack up some snacks and road cruise through the mountains. πŸ™‚

We drove from Colorado Springs to Leadville yesterday – just to see what we can see. Turned up some tunes, made our car warm and toasty and off we went. We got some lunch at a local mom and pop shop – which was a treat for us since we barely ever go out to eat.

We saw so many families doing the same thing. The tourist season is over (except for the ski towns) – and there are tons of Colorado folk just cruising enjoying the beauty of fresh fallen snow on the mountain tops.

I didn’t take too many pics cause I was cold. But here are a few from our cruise – we had a few stops to frolic around in the snow, climb some trees and rocks and just enjoy time with each other.

We really love out here πŸ™‚
